The Liverpool Scooter Club was founded in it's present form approximately 16 years ago, following an advert placed in the Liverpool Echo newspaper by Mike Soffe  ( the proprietor of MS Scooters in Bootle, Liverpool ). Amongst the scooterists who replied to that advert was Ernie Lundstrom, who is now our club President. The membership of the club is very fluid, in that the members are free to attend meetings and rideouts as they wish. We can probably count around 100 members  (although they don't all turn up at once !), and we also have honorary members from around this country, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, continental Europe and other parts of the world. On an average Thursday evening, we can have anywhere between 6 and 60 members and guests present ( usually depending on the weather ). We don't have a committee, and we don't collect any subscriptions. Part of enjoying our scootering, is that we like to arrange events in order to raise money for various charitable causes. These are organised mainly by our event organiser Dave Simmo (who does an excellent job), and he is assisted by various members of the club who add their own areas of expertise and organisational skills.
 
                                          There is a busy calendar of scootering rallies and events throughout the spring, summer and autumn periods around the country, (and indeed Europe), and we like to attend as many of these as we can in order to enjoy our scootering, and support our friends in other scooter clubs around the region. Our club is made up of people of all ages, both male and female. We welcome people who like fully Modded scooters (with all the bling !), people who like fast, tuned scooters, or those who prefer nicely restored classic machines. Our members embrace classic and modern scooters of any make, and indeed some also own big motorbikes, so there's something for everyone.
 
                                                   We appreciate that it can be a bit daunting walking into somewhere for the first time, but come along, speak to a few people and introduce yourself.
